Australia Visitor Visa (Subclass 600)

A Visitor Visa, or tourist visa, is a non-immigrant visa that allows a person to enter Australia temporarily for tourism or to visit family.

What you can and cannot do with an Australia Visitor Visa

If you hold a visitor visa, you are allowed to do the following:

  • Visit the destination country
  • Visit friends or family (although rules may vary by country)
  • Visit tourist attractions
  • Take short courses
  • Attend business meetings

And the following are things you are not allowed to do if you only hold a visitor visa:
