Participants will be provided with a structured and progressive training plan including rotations

of learning opportunities during which they will acquire exposure and hands-on experience to

the daily Culinary department operations at a U.S. hotel or resort.

Typical duties and terms/conditions of the training shall include but are not limited to the

following:

• Utilizing manual dexterity and basic knife skills to cut, chop, peel, mix, blend, whip, etc. a variety of foods and liquids.

• Measuring ingredients, portions, and preparing food to recipe specifications.

• Ensuring compliance with food safety, health and sanitation including food temperature, handling, & storage requirements.

• Lifting and carrying large pots/pans, bending, reaching, standing/walking for duration of training shift.

• Expectation of temperature extremes from ovens, stoves & freezers.

• Keeping workstation and cooking equipment clean, organized, and sanitized. Helping with inventory-related tasks.

• Working effectively with a team, using time management and multitasking skills.

• Training assignments will include flexible days and hours as designated by the supervisor.

• Must follow the host company’s policies and procedures.
